Welcome to The Loxford School Trust Teaching School Alliance
What we do
As a Teaching School Alliance we work with other schools to share expertise for the benefit of all students and staff, within the Trust, regionally and nationally.
What we offer
The Teaching School provides guidance and support in three key areas:
- Initial teacher education
- Continuing Professional Development & Leadership Development
- School-to-school support
Initial Teacher Training
Our Initial Teacher Training programmes are designed to provide maximum support to new entrants to the profession and have given hundreds of new teachers the confidence to survive and thrive in this most rewarding of careers. We share our expertise with other schools in order to strengthen the quality of Initial Teacher Training both regionally and nationally.
Continuing Professional Development
All teachers in the Loxford Trust Schools benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities tailored to their specific needs. We also offer Leadership Development Programmes to individuals and teams outside the Trust at all stages of their journey towards outstanding and beyond.
Succession Planning and Talent Management
At Loxford we “grow our own” leaders and all schools across the Trust offer exceptional career development opportunities for dedicated and ambitious professionals.
School-to-school support
We offer bespoke support packages to meet needs identified by school leaders and have the leadership capacity and breadth of experience within the Trust to offer intensive, hands-on coaching in a range of areas from raising attainment to building effective teams, from developing student leadership to improving attendance and behaviour.
Lead Practitioners and Specialist Leaders of Education
Our talented team of Lead Practitioners and Lead Practitioners in Training have all been accredited by the SSAT (or are working towards this qualification) because of their expertise in key areas of school effectiveness.
Within the trust we are also privileged to have an Specialist Leader of Education within Science, as well as an National Leader of Education and a National Leadership of Governance to facilitate and support the work we carry out with other schools.
Applications for appointment to the role of Lead Practitioners and Specialist Leaders of Education are open to teachers within the Trust.
