Facilities Hire

Loxford school has a brand new site and has both sports facilities and function areas to hire. We would welcome both community groups and sports clubs to have access to these facilities. Please scroll down to view the relevant area and prices. All facilities have parking on site.

The school works with selected event management companies who handle all our 'catering required' events i.e. pre-weddings

Sports
All Weather Pitch

Brand new to Loxford School our floodlit standard size FA pitch. Our professional pitch is capable of hosting a variety of sports making this an ideal training ground for all ages. Please note hirers will have access to changing rooms and parking.

Dance/ Activity and Drama Studio

Loxford have a Drama Studio (62m²) to hire for small theatre groups and additional Dance/ Activity Studio (106m²) with AV for dance, aerobics, yoga, and karate. The dance studio has a sprung wooden floor. No changing facilities, parking available on site.

Business
Hall/ Theatre

AV main Hall/ Theatre has two sections measuring 355.68m² and 352.49m² (capacity of 300 for each area). The space has full audio visual system for conferences, AGM’s, theatre productions, award ceremonies, religious gatherings. The hall can be hired separately or together and parking is available on site.

Please note
* All Business Hall bookings are subject to a charge for an additional hour (to cover caretaking and cleaning costs) and refundable damage deposit.
* Also there is strictly no use of the kitchen with Business Hall bookings.

Training Room/ Conference Room

These rooms are located on the third floor of the school via the lift. The rooms are sectioned off from the student areas. The Training room (60.5m²) has a capacity of 30 and the Conference room (27m²) has a capacity of 12. Both rooms come fully equipped with dry boards, laptop connections, Wi-Fi and the training room has an additional interactive white board. Parking available on site.

Classrooms

Loxford have a choice of classrooms to hire complete with interactive white boards and a capacity of 30. Parking available on site. Some classrooms have ICT desks whilst others have traditional desks and chairs.

Free School Meals / Student Bursary

We would like to remind you of a system that is in place where parents can claim for free school meals for their children. You child might be in year 11, 12 or 13 and say that they don’t eat in school. However if they get free school meals it allows us to support them in other ways e.g. the Student Bursary. Please help us to help them more by applying; you can even do this online!

If you are a parent or carer of a child and you fall under one of the following criteria, you could claim for a free school meal each day your child is in school.

•   Income Support (IS)
•   Income Based job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA)
•   An income related employment and support allowance (IBESA)
•   Support under part VI of the immigration and Asylum Act 1999
•   Child Tax Credit provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) that as of 6 April 2011 does not exceed £16,190.
•   The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit

Remember even if your child does not want to eat in school, it is worth applying if you are eligible as this can open up further support for students when applying to universities or financial support in the Sixth Form.

Vote Haajarah Hussain for the Youth Parliament

At the end of January, all Redbridge school students will have the chance to vote for who they would like to be Redbridge's member of the Youth Parliament. You will get a voting paper between the 30th of January and the 3rd of February. Please think about who you want to vote for.

Our representative, Haajarah Hussein, is on the campaign trail and needs the vote of all Loxford students!

My name is Haajarah Hussain, studying in year 11. I am currently running in the elections for Redbridge Youth Parliament. I need all students' support to help me win my way to the top 4! I am fighting for what the youth of Redbridge need and want, in particular:

More Police Officers, particularly around schools and on public transport
More youth activities, sports clubs and work experience
A lowering of the tuition fees for Higher Education
I'm representing Loxford and Redbridge and need your support!
