BTEC Certificate
There were 7 students on this course who were all successful. Results = 1 Distinction and 6 Merits. (The student who achieved the Distinction is now on the BTEC National Diploma.)

BTEC First Diploma
There were 14 students in total and the results = 2 Distinctions, 3 Merits and 9 Passes.

GCE Applied Business (2-year course, equivalent to 2 ‘A’ levels)
There were 19 students in total and the results were:

1 CC, 3 CD’s, 6 DD’s, 2 DE’s, 2 EE’s, and 5 U’s (These were disappointing but not unexpected.) During the first year of delivering this course, we were aware that the ‘external’ units were bringing down the students’ grades and as a result we offered the BTEC National Diploma to the new cohort. All students have gained a place at university.
