Ex Student Bilal Khan plays a leading role as ‘Simon’ in the Rifco Theatre Company production.
The play which is set in the summer of 1978 sees the rise of the national front and a play about friendship and courage.
The play has already had successful showings at the Watford Palace Theatre and the Queens theatre in Hornchurch. It now moves to the Oldham Coliseum theatre with future dates at the Warwick Art Centre and Derby Theatre.
We at Loxford are incredibly proud of Bilal and wish him all the success in his future performances.
“Summer 1978, Simon and his friends should be looking forward to leaving school, but the National Front are on the streets, Simon’s Bibi is ashamed of him and his Dad spends his life hiding in the pub.
When Simon’s cousin Baljit comes to stay, she introduces him to the Bollywood classic, Sholay. Inspired by the film’s dynamic duo, Jai and Veeru, Simon and Baljit find their inner superheroes and set out to change their world forever.
