Over a two day residential visit, year 11 GCSE PE student attended the Wide Horizons centre in Kent to work on their assessment for their rock climbing assessment as part of their practical portfolio. Students were fantastic throughout, learning new key skills, techniques and how to safely use the equipment on an artificial climbing wall.
On the second day students attended the picturesque location of Harrison’s rocks. Here students got to put into practice on a real rock face surface the skills they had developed on the previous day.
The students worked incredibly hard over the two days and showed great teamwork. The PE department would like to say a big thank you and well done to all those students involved, the finance team for their assistance in getting the trip organised and to the staff at Wide Horizons for their support and guidance.
