Geography Trip to Queen Mary

On Wednesday 8th February, Year 12 and 13 geography students attended a lecture at Queen Mary University.

The lecture was about Urban Public Space by Dr. Kegan Koch and how ideas about our use of public space has changed over time from ancient Greece to the modern day.

The lecture helped develop students’ critical thinking skills as they themselves move everyday through “public space” and help develop their subject knowledge for Changing Places and World Cities modules which students are currently studying. It also gave students an insight to studying at university as they begin to look towards life beyond Loxford.
