Visit to the Jewish Museum
On the 12th July 2011 Y7 and Y8 went to the Jewish Museum London. The pupils had the opportunity to further expand their knowledge and understanding of the Jewish faith.

Pupils took part in two workshops entitled 'A Taste of Judaism' which was about Jewish food and Jewish food laws, where the pupil had the chance to taste Jewish foods. The second was ' Change and Responsibility' which was about Bar and Bat Mitzvah, where the pupils had the chance to wear Jewish clothing, for example, the Tallit. Pupils then visited the fantastic galleries, which ranged from the Sabbath and an old Jewish kitchen, the Passover and the Seder meal, festivals, Jewish History and the Holocaust.Pupils were given interesting worksheets to complete as they were walking around the galleries. Pupils really enjoyed the trip and the RE department will surely be organising this again next year.
