On Wednesday the 13th of December, Loxford School had its annual winter concert. Once again it showcased the talent across the entire school with close harmony groups from the year 12’s down to Christmas classics such as ‘All I want for Christmas’ sung by Angelina in year 7.
There were touching solos, notably by Iffah, who sang the Whitney Houston classic ‘I have nothing’ and Raimoon singing ‘All I ask by Adele.
Students collaborated with one another this year to create new exciting ensembles such as the year 11 and 10 band, the year 10 GCSE group and a group made up of year 10’s, 11’s and a year 9. It is wonderful to see students at Loxford coming together and working really well with one another in order to create wonderful music.
We had a new wave of year 7’s this year singing ‘Last Christmas’ in memory of the late George Michael. We are looking forward to see their development over the next few years as their talent is already outstanding.
There was a variety of music showcased such as pop, fusion, Latin, anime and Classical.
All students that participated performed with great enthusiasm and left the audience wanting more
