On Monday 29th of April, a special assembly on knife crime was held for Year 10. This was led by the school’s Safer Schools Officer and her colleague. Students were educated about why people resorted to such senseless actions and the ideologies behind knife crime and gang violence. After watching two video clips that showed the devastating effects of knife crime (both were based on actual events), students participated in a feedback session, where they were given additional advice about staying safe and vigilant.
Truly a thought provoking presentation.
