Loxford Student Visits 10 Downing Street

On the 12th October I went to a reception celebrating women’s contribution to UK business held at 10 Downing Street. It was a great honour to be invited by the Prime Minister through SMF to attend this prestigious event. My experience proved very exciting as I was surrounded by great female business women, as well as Nick Clegg and David Cameron. The evening began with a lot of networking and exchanging of experiences before the Prime Minister delivered his speech. The whole intention of the event was to celebrate women’s contribution to business and also address targets made by the 30% club. The 30% Club is a group of Chairmen and organisations committed to bringing more women onto UK corporate boards. Overall I had a great time and got a lot out of the event.
