We are extremely proud that Year 13 student Shuaib has been chosen to receive the UBS Outstanding Student Award.   Shuaib and two other students, Joel Saleem and Khallil Benyattou, were nominated by the school in recognition of their outstanding AS and early entry A Level grades in year twelve.  Shuaib has also shown his dedication to his studies by attending taster days, lectures and summer schools with both Oxford and Cambridge Universities.  He also spent two weeks this summer at Yale University in America, where he gave a presentation about economics to students from around the world.
The Outstanding Student Award is organised by educational charity Pure Potential in partnership with global leading financial services firm UBS to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the brightest state-school sixth form students in the country. On Thursday, 8th November 2012, UBS will be hosting an exclusive event and presenting each successful student with an award for outstanding achievement.  
By winning this award, Shuaib has placed himself amongst the very highest achieving students in the United Kingdom.  He is applying to study Economics at Cambridge University after he completed his A Levels.
