Science Club

During Science Club this week, students were using flame tests to analyse mystery compounds. The students placed some of the compound onto a metal wire and burnt it using a Bunsen burner.

Depending on the colour of the flame, students were able to identify the metal present, for example potassium has a lilac flame.
