Within the month of October our students took part in the following activities:-


  • We held our Year 6 Open Evening which had an immense turnout and the feedback from parents was lovely. Our various Curriculum departments produced fantastic displays for the parents and the Headteacher gave a speech
  • Students and teachers visited from our partner school in India, Salwan School. They took part in various lessons, went on a trip to Southend-in-Sea, Westfield & The Olympic Park, Lord’s Cricket Ground and gave a performance to our Year 7s
  • Pre-audition meetings took place for our winter panto “Into The Woods”
  • We held our Year 12 Welcome Evening
  • Year 13 gave presentations to Year 7 & 8 on “Show Racism the Red Card”
  • Various events and activities were held for “Show Racism the Red Card” Day and students and staff wore red in support of the event
    • Year 7 raised £728.00 for this event from a Cake Bake Sale
  • Year 9 attended an assembly delivered by a spoken word poet, Bella Cox


We visited the following places:-

  • A group of our Year 12 students visited a local care home, Seabrook Manor Care Home.  Our students recited Poetry
  • The whole of Year 12 attended a road safety event “Safe Drive, Stay Alive” at Cineworld, Ilford
  • Some Year 11 & 13 students attended “What Career Live?” at Olympia, Hammersmith. The event offered a unique opportunity to discover what options are out there for school-leavers. These include university, apprenticeships, sponsorship and on-the-job training.  It also provided the opportunity to network with big name recruiters such as Accenture for IT, Microsoft, Deloitte, AON, and Rolls Royce
  • Year 7 students attended a PE trip to the O2 arena for a Tag Rugby competition and watch a Rugby Masterclass


Loxford took part in many sporting fixtures:-

  • Year 9 girls’ netball defeated Woodford 9-4
  • Year 7 girls’ netball defeated Isaac Newton 6-1
  • Year 8 girls’ netball lost to Isaac Newton 2-3
  • The 6th form played a cup game against Caterham and lost 1-4
  • Year 10 boys’ football lost to King Solomon in a cup match 1-5
  • Interform football was held in the year groups and the winners were:
    • Year 9 – boys 9S, girls 9F
    • Year 8 – boys 9C, girls 9X
