The significance of this judgement can be summed up in the words of our Chair of Governors Mr Peter Ballard in his letter to our staff. “Outstanding is certainly a fair and accurate assessment of Loxford. To achieve an outstanding assessment in consecutive inspections is inspirational and very special. You must be very proud.

I believe we have a very talented team of staff combined with a governing body who are committed to a strategy that can take the school to greater success in the future. Governors are immensely proud of the school. Governors want to ensure that the children of South Ilford get the best possible education opportunities. This result shows that together we are delivering those opportunities.”

We are delighted to share with you some of the judgements:
“Loxford is “an outstanding school”
“There is a strong culture in the school that says everyone can be successful in meeting their aspirations.”
“Teachers make their lessons enjoyable and challenging for all pupils.”
“The pupils’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are exemplary. Pupils want to learn. They are keen, enthusiastic and have impeccable manners towards each other and adults.”

The grade of 1 (Outstanding) for all 4 judgements (Achievement of pupils, Quality of teaching, Behaviour and safety of pupils, and Leadership and management) is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the students, staff and governors. We thank all parents for their support and are extremely proud of our students achievements.

We are extremely proud to remain an ‘Outstanding’ school and see this status as one way of showing how much hard work every adult and student puts into our school. We are a High Performing school and have joined the Leading Edge Partnership Programme (LEPP) and the ‘Going for Great’ programme which enables outstanding schools such as Loxford to work together so they learn from the excellent work of each other.
