On the 19th and 25th of May our year 6 children visited the ‘Ragged House Museum,’ where they took part in two workshops.

The first workshop allowed the children to experience a typical day in a Victorian school. During the Victorian style lessons, they learnt: how to write in a cursive handwriting style, the importance of posture and clarity of speech as well as the value of old money. In the second workshop the children thought about the building itself, both the inside and out, and how it demonstrates the Victorian era but is still standing today as a fully functional building.
