The Globe Players Bring Shakespeare to Life for Year 7 and Year 8

As a special end-of-term reward, our Year 7 and Year 8 students were treated to a captivating live performance by The Globe Players, who brought their production of What You Will to our school this week.

This lively and engaging introduction to Shakespeare offered Key Stage 3 students a window into the world of his plays, tracing the development of his career through a dynamic series of extracts from some of his most celebrated works. The performance featured scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and more — each selected to intrigue, entertain, and inspire.

The production was carefully designed to make Shakespeare’s language and themes accessible and enjoyable for today’s students. Through energetic acting and clever storytelling, The Globe Players brought the plays vividly to life for a new generation.

We are proud to continue enriching our curriculum with opportunities for live theatre and look forward to welcoming The Globe Players back in future years.
