Year 7 and 8 Enjoy a String Quartet Concert
Our musical celebrations continued on Wednesday 7th October, when Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed a special string quartet concert.
A professional string quartet performed a range of pieces, giving students the opportunity to experience live instrumental music and appreciate the skill and versatility of the string instruments. The performance offered a wonderful insight into the world of ensemble playing and the possibilities of making music together.
Following the concert, students took part in a question-and-answer session, where they could ask the musicians questions about their instruments, how they are played and what it is like to perform as part of a quartet. This was a fantastic opportunity to learn directly from professional musicians and discover more about playing a string instrument.
