Loxford School Hits the Right Note with Cornet Tuition for Year 7 Students

Loxford School is giving its Year 7 students the opportunity to discover their musical talents through a fantastic new initiative offering completely free cornet tuition.

As part of the programme, students receive a one-hour lesson each week with a specialist teacher, helping them to develop their musical skills, build confidence and explore the joy of learning a new instrument.

To ensure every student has the opportunity to practise and progress, each participant is also provided with a rented cornet that they can take home. This allows students to continue developing their skills outside of lessons, building their confidence and making music part of their everyday lives.

Best of all, the entire programme is provided free of charge, removing financial barriers and ensuring students can access high-quality musical tuition without any cost to their families.

Learning a musical instrument offers a wealth of benefits, from developing concentration and discipline to encouraging creativity, teamwork and self-expression. Through this initiative, Loxford School hopes to inspire a love of music among its Year 7 students while giving them the opportunity to discover what they can achieve with dedication and practice.

The excitement is already building as students prepare to share their progress with the school community. They will have the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired skills at the upcoming Winter Showcase, celebrating their hard work, commitment and musical achievements.

We look forward to hearing our young musicians perform and seeing them take pride in everything they have accomplished. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Year 7 students to shine, and we cannot wait to see them take centre stage!
