Loxford English Literature students travelled to Central London for an outstanding production of The Tempest with students laughing throughout as the comedy shocked audiences in all the right ways.

The ensemble cast were fantastic, the props were modern but still stayed true to the original script and the crowd were engaged from the first scene. For Year 13 students, this was the perfect trip to help them understand key themes and will become part of their analysis going forward while Year 12s got the opportunity to see the play they are currently studying for the first time.

The cultural capital available was present from the moment they noticed St Paul's Cathedral and for some students, it was their first experience inside The Globe.

Overall, the production was excellent and students enjoyed it thoroughly
