Back
The International Day of Play is an annual global observance held on Thursday 11 June. Established by the United Nations in 2024 and supported by UNICEF and UNESCO, the day champions every child's fundamental right to play, learn, and develop in safe, inclusive environments.
This year Redbridge Council is celebrating International Day of Play 2026 over a week (Thursday 11th June – Wednesday 18th June) , promoting 65 activities across the borough for children and young people, which are either free or at a promotional rate. Activities range from arts and crafts, sports, LEGO building sessions and sensory play.
Some sessions will need to be pre-booked and are served on a first come, first served basis, details of which can be found on the International Day Of Play 2026 CFR Digital Map.
