Loxford in the month of February

Within the month of February our students took part in the following activities:-

  • Year 11 Parents’ Evening
  • Year 9 Parents’ Evening
  • Year 13 Parents’ Evening
  • Our Sixth Form Global Ambassadors had a video conference with Sun City School, India
  • Year 9 students had their DTP & Meningitis vaccinations
  • During National Apprenticeship Week various events/talks were held for Years 10,11,12 & 13:
    • PwC theme regarding human ingenuity, experience, technology and products
    • NHS
    • Engineering Apprenticeships
    • Public Sector jobs
    • Specsavers

We visited the following places:-

  • A small group of Year 10 students visited St Anne’s College, Oxford
  • 25 Year 11 GCSE PE students went to the Lea Valley Athletics Centre as part of their practical portfolio for their GCSE Moderation
  • A group of students went on a rewards trip to watch the London Pulse netball game at the Olympic park Copper Box
  • Some Year 9/10 students went to Tottenham Hotspur for a tournament and be part of a new competition against other schools

Loxford took part in many sporting fixtures:-

  • Year 8 boys football lost 7-0 to Oaks Park
  • Year 10 boys lost to Mayfield 0-3
